This is a test site

This private teacher pilot is separate from the active Grubbucks classroom. Use fictional student information here. Public sale and use with real student records require a completed privacy, school approval, retention, and support review.

The short version

Grubbucks is a teacher-run classroom learning tool. Students use a display name, class code, and private PIN—never an email address. Teachers choose a name for their classroom currency. These pretend points have no cash value, and there are no public balance or investing rankings.

Information the classroom keeps

The app keeps the student display name entered by the teacher, classroom group, a preset character choice, wallet balances, jobs, store activity, goals, missions, and simulated Money Lab activity. It also keeps an audit history so a teacher can explain and correct classroom transactions without silently deleting them.

Information students do not need to provide

Students do not need an email address, phone number, home address, legal name, payment card, real bank account, photo, or profile biography. The character creator saves only preset appearance choices. Teachers should use the minimum display name their school allows.

Account protection

Student PINs are stored as protected one-way credentials, not readable text. A signed-in classroom teacher can securely view a current PIN when needed; that access is limited, recorded, and does not change the PIN. Student sessions expire, and teachers can pause all student access, archive an account, or replace a PIN. Each student can see only their own wallet and learning activity.

How information is used

Classroom information is used only to operate the teacher’s classroom economy and its learning activities. The app does not sell student information, show advertising, connect to real financial accounts, or make real investments. The hosting service may process ordinary technical request data needed to keep the site secure and available.

Teacher and school responsibility

The teacher controls the roster and classroom records. Before student use, the teacher or school should follow its own family notice, consent, records-retention, and approved-technology policies. Families should ask the classroom teacher to view, correct, export, or archive a student’s classroom information.

Money Lab

Money Lab uses pretend classroom currency for savings and investing lessons. Savings rates are teaching examples. Stock lessons can use public price data included with the app; displayed prices may be delayed or unavailable. Students do not buy real securities or connect financial accounts. Some early sales deduct a classroom penalty, which is shown before confirmation. Pausing new investments does not prevent students from selling existing holdings. Nothing in Money Lab is a real account, investment offer, guaranteed return, or financial advice.
